Magpie Monday

Hi this is my 2nd post joining the host of happy bloggers out there doing Magpie Monday. (the Magpie Monday blogs I've been following is Karen's The White Approach and Miss Daisy of Miss Daisy Crafts)
I said I wouldn't do one every week but I had such fab bargains this week I just had to share :-)

So here is my latest steals...

A gorgeous New Look top in my favourite colour and a size 14 that fits me! Only £2.89! A bargain and a confidence booster! What more could a girl want?

This top is another moral booster being a River Island size 16. We all know River Island clothes are generally on the small size and a steal at £2.99

The hangers they are on deserve a mention too. I went into Wilkinson's and could get 5 for £2.49 in black or beige. Eugh! But in Home Bargains I got 10 for £2.99 and in Pink! Perfect for a girls wardrobe!

Please pop over to Me and My Shadow by Missie Lizzie where you can find all the other Magpie Monday bloggers and their finds.

So what about you? Have you found any bargains lately?

Rainy Days

I have been struggling the last few days. There has been lots going on, emotional things. Things like preparing to move back to Cornwall, opening a new online shop (when I'm supposed to be downsizing my shops to reduce pressure) and the possibility of taking my jewellery into a new shop in town (the preparation was too much pressure). Doesn't really sound like much does it? But it all came to a head and brought me down. It's made me think I've been generally down for too long (all this year sadly) and it's time to see my Dr and see what she has to say.

And so I have been letting myself off the (diet) hook and enjoying whatever I fancy for a few days and taking all pressure off and relaxing. Trying to get back to the place of accepting where I'm at and that I can trust God to take care of my future and then I go on facebook and my friend had put this great quote from Mother Teresa ( I just had to check the spelling of her name even though it's the same as mine!). It really speaks to me right where I am, right at this time....

May today you find this Peace within knowing that you too are in just the place where you are meant to be and like me try to absorb the lessons the day has for us!

Magpie Monday

Hi I'm going to join the rest of the happy bloggers out there doing Magpie Monday. (the Magpie Monday blogs I've been following is Karen's The White Approach and Miss Daisy of Miss Daisy Crafts)
I won't be doing one every week but just when I have some fab bargains (steals) to share with you!

So here is my latest steal...

So to start with a confession... I didn't get these just this week. It's taken me a while to blog about them. But they are still a Magpie steal! One of the things I'm really good at is forgetting things! and that always includes sunglasses! So when I went to Cornwall I did remember my sunglasses but then I went to Truro to meet up with my Sister, Nephew and Niece and what did I do? Yep you got it... forgot my sunglasses and yes it was very sunny! So we popped into a fab little charity shop and asked if they had any sunglasses and they went into the back and came out with a basket full of them. I had a rummage, tried several pairs and decided on the ones I liked best. So when I go to pay the assistant asks if they're designer and I say "I don't think so" but she checked and they were.....

Yep! that's D&G on the side...Dolce and Gabbana!! So since they were designer she charged me....£3! Bargain! A real steal! And if that's not enough my Sister was buying some at the same time and so paid for mine for me! I do think this might well remain my bargain of the year!!

I hope you'll pop back to see some of my other Magpie steals coming soon :-)

Coincidence?

Do you believe in coincidence? I don't think I do. I do believe that God can use anything or anyone to speak to you. God speaks to me through Rainbows and through a kind of journalling where I write down what I think He's saying and through people who might or might not know my situation. The last couple of days I think he might have used the television.

I mentioned in my 30 day challenge that I'm planning to move back to Cornwall. Well although I'm sure I'm right I do believe God may continue to give me confirmation just to reassure me I'm on the right path. I have seen 2 Rainbows since making this decision when I hadn't seen any for such a long time and over the last 2 days I have watched 2 home programs, 'A Place By The Sea' and 'Homes Under The Hammer' and both of them featured houses in Cornwall! Coincidence? Or God's confirmation? I know what I believe!

When I was in Cornwall I picked up this card with the poem 'Call of Cornwall' by Malcolm Bowmer and it pretty much sums up how I feel...

I'm called every year to come back to St Ives
Southwest bound with others who lead busy lives,
To walk on the Island, to gaze at the sea,
Drawn back to this land that is calling to me.

The deeper blue Ocean, the paler blue sky,
The call of the seagulls all soaring on high,
Wherever I travel, wherever I roam,
One day I will live here and call Cornwall home.

Friendship Vignettes ~ Flowers

Week 35 ~ Flowers

Welcome to this weeks Friendship Vignettes. I have managed to get loads of photo's again this week and the choice for favourite was really hard but I have chosen! My chosen photo and a lot of the photo's around them on the video were taken at Wyresdale Park, Scorton a stately home near us that has previously been on Country House Rescue, Without which I wouldn't have known it was there! I also spoke to the owner who gave me permission to take photo's.  Not as grumpy as on the show and I think a bit mortified at how he was portrayed. Poor man he was very pleasant.

So here are our pics...
